Welcome Guest!
Like all Auxiliary recreational boating safety outreach programs, the RBSVP seeks to deliver our message to the boating community and the public at large. What's unique about this program is that we partner with the local business community to reach those boaters who patronize a variety of commercial establishments related to boating and water-based activities. These commercial partners, originally called "marine dealers" at the inception of the program have now come to include a wide variety of not only for-profit enterprises, but also non-profit, governmental, local agency, community service and other organizations. In fact, today's PV's are only limited by our imaginations when it comes to finding organizations to partner with to reach out to the boating public.
Regardless of the fact that we are not always physically present when boaters patronize our partners' establishments, we reach them never the less through two primary means; dealer/partner education and free boating safety information and material. The key to success in this program is our ability to establish relationships between the Auxiliary and the network of dealer/partners in our AOR's. Educated partners who believe as we do that they have an obligation to keep their customers informed of the latest boating safety concerns and information are invaluable to us in executing our mission. We have a variety of other resources available to us as well. See the Resources section on this page for ideas.
If you are not currently a qualified Program Visitor, I invite you to join us for what I'm sure you will find to be a rewarding and exciting mission area. For those of you already in the program, thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to both this program and your support of the Auxiliary's missions and services.
